On September 10th, the hashtag #那英老公出軌 (Na Ying’s husband cheats) became the number one trending topic on social media, sparking discussions among netizens. Na Ying’s husband, Meng Tong (also known as Meng Tong), denied the claims of infidelity, stating that the accusation of cheating is purely a rumor. However, it has been revealed that three companies associated with Na Ying and Meng Tong have been deregistered.
According to reports from mainland Chinese media, Meng Tong was seen being intimate with a woman, and they were spotted returning to Na Ying’s villa in Beijing together after having dinner. This incident quickly circulated online, becoming a focal point of public attention.
Na Ying’s current husband, Meng Tong, is the founder of the well-known Beijing bar, VICS. The couple got married in Canada in 2006 and has a daughter. They have always portrayed a harmonious image in public. The news of the alleged infidelity came as a surprise to many netizens.
As the situation escalated, information from the “Qichacha” platform showed that Meng Tong is linked to 12 enterprises, with 7 still in operation. However, the financial status of these companies is not optimistic. Beijing Longtai Tianrun Catering and Entertainment Co., Ltd., and Chengdu Xinwei Jia Catering Management Co., Ltd., have even been restricted from high consumption. On the other hand, nine companies related to Na Ying have been deregistered, while the remaining operational companies include Beijing Fuyue Music Studio (General Partnership), Beijing Galaxy Tree Cultural Media Co., Ltd., and Shaoxing Shangyu Aizeras Investment Management Partnership Enterprise (Limited Partnership).
Of note is that Na Ying and Meng Tong have had close business ties, being associated with three companies. However, these joint ventures have all been deregistered, leading to speculations about the end of their business collaboration.
Before the news of Meng Tong’s infidelity broke out, a social media account named “AAA生瓜蛋子” hinted on September 9th that a national-level female celebrity’s husband had strayed and hinted that more details would be revealed the next day. It wasn’t until September 10th that the news of Na Ying’s husband’s infidelity made it to the top trending list, confirming the previous speculation.
On September 10th, the same social media account disclosed that there were issues in Na Ying’s marriage, posting a video claiming that Meng Tong was seen being affectionate with a woman at a bar and later returning to Na Ying’s villa together. This news shocked many internet users.
According to reports from “Sina Entertainment,” Meng Tong responded to the media, asserting that the rumors of infidelity were baseless. He explained that he was out with friends and due to a leg injury, needed assistance getting into the car. Since they were neighbors from the adjacent community, he gave the woman a ride. Meng Tong expressed regret for any inappropriate interactions during the gathering and pledged to be more cautious in the future, stating that legal actions would be taken against malicious rumors.
Reported by “Jiemian News,” a check on Na Ying’s certified Weibo account revealed that her 1,466 Weibo posts have been set to private. Some netizens left comments on Na Ying’s official studio account, urging her not to sacrifice herself for the sake of her children.
After the news went viral, some netizens mentioned that Na Ying was in London accompanying her daughter who is studying there at the time of the incident, however, this information hasn’t been confirmed yet. Meanwhile, Na Ying’s studio has remained silent. The rumor about Na Ying deleting over a thousand Weibo posts seems unfounded, as some netizens familiar with Na Ying revealed that she hasn’t used Weibo in years due to her involvement in previous controversies.
