Zhengdayi Hospital’s official account was insulted by professionals using foul language in comments.

After an article was posted on the official WeChat account certified by the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, Shanghai professionals criticized the writing as “terrible,” leading to the operators of the account responding with vulgar language. This incident has sparked public attention.

The involved WeChat account is named “Dept. of Thoracic Surgery & Esophageal Surgery, Zhengzhou University First Affiliated Hospital,” registered on March 17, 2024, with certification subject to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University. According to the account’s introduction, it mainly publishes department profiles, doctor information, health education, cutting-edge information, academic events, and clinical trial recruitments.

On April 29, the account published an article titled “【Above the Blade】Salvage Neck Lymph Node Dissection” authored by “Dr. Zhang from Zhengzhou University First Affiliated Hospital.”

According to reports from Modern Express, Mr. Chen from Shanghai stated, “I happened to come across this post and raised my concerns from a professional perspective in the comments section.” Mr. Chen recalled that he did not use any extreme or insulting language but simply remarked, “The copywriting is terrible,” before being subject to verbal abuse from the other party.

Mr. Chen mentioned that he is a doctor specializing in head and neck tumors, with 11 years of experience, currently working in Shanghai.

Screen captures he provided showed that the operators of the WeChat account not only publicly retorted in the comments section, stating, “Does the quality of the copy affect your treatment? The copy was written by someone. If you don’t like it, just get lost. Will it affect you going to the grave?”.

Furthermore, they insulted Mr. Chen in private messages, saying, “Get lost. Every time I see you, I curse you. I’m cursing the dog, not the person, so I have no reservations.”

However, later there were no abusive remarks found in the comments section of the article.

On the evening of May 2, a call was made to the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, where a staff member mentioned that the aforementioned account is managed and operated by the Department of Thoracic Surgery & Esophageal Surgery at the hospital. They stated, “Our hospital’s media department operates the official WeChat accounts, besides the official ‘First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University’ account, there is also the ‘Zhengzhou University First Affiliated Hospital Internet Hospital.’ Other accounts are operated by various departments themselves.”

The staff member mentioned that whether it’s the two official accounts they referred to or the department-managed accounts, the operators are employees of the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University and are not contracted to third-party personnel. They expressed uncertainty about the specific situation and suggested consulting the corresponding department for the WeChat account.

However, despite making multiple calls to the Department of Thoracic Surgery & Esophageal Surgery, there was no response.
