On February 12, 2025 (Wednesday), China celebrated the traditional Lantern Festival, also known as Yuanxiao Festival. On this occasion, New Tang Dynasty Television exclusively aired the “Shen Yun Global Chinese New Year Gala.” The gala featured performances by Shen Yun Performing Arts, Feitian Academy of the Arts, and Feitian College of the Arts.
New Tang Dynasty Television broadcasted the event to mainland China through satellites (Korean and Japanese satellites), while online streaming was available on Dynamic Web, Freegate, and ABTV to audiences in China. Overseas television channels broadcasted the gala exclusively to the United States.
Shen Yun Performing Arts is currently on a global tour receiving rave reviews wherever they go. The theaters are filled to capacity with tickets in high demand – a common sight during their performances. Shows in Italy sold out in 38 instances, Berlin tickets were hard to come by, Frankfurt had six sold-out shows, Dijon in France had four full-house performances, and Los Angeles saw four sold-out shows, among many others. Shen Yun has received numerous accolades from various cities around the world.

Established in New York in 2006, Shen Yun Performing Arts has evolved into one of the world’s foremost Chinese classical dance and traditional music arts groups, presenting new original works each year. Drawing inspiration from China’s five thousand years of civilization, Shen Yun tells a myriad of colorful traditional Chinese tales ranging from mythologies to imperial feasts, from snowy mountains and grasslands to Jiangnan courtyards.

It’s a great miracle, the truest and most wise way to showcase authentic Chinese culture.” Former U.S. National Security Advisor General Flynn praised Shen Yun after attending the performance at the Duke Energy Center for the Arts in St. Petersburg, Florida, on January 16.
