On January 18th, two Iranian supreme court judges were shot dead in the capital Tehran, as reported by the Iranian newspaper “Mizan”. Another judge was injured in the attack, and the assailant committed suicide after the incident outside the Supreme Court.
Local Iranian media reported that one of the judges’ security personnel was also wounded in the shooting.

The Iranian judiciary department confirmed the identities of the two slain judges as Mohammad Moghiseh and Ali Razini.
Opposition websites have claimed that Moghiseh was involved in the trials of political prisoners.
