On the occasion of the arrival of 2025, on Tuesday night, December 31, President-elect Trump (Trump) and billionaire Elon Musk danced the iconic “Trump Dance” together at the New Year’s party held at the Mar-a-Lago estate. The video of them dancing went viral on the internet.

Trump often spontaneously dances this humorously simple dance at various gatherings, gaining support from his followers and even being imitated by athletes celebrating in college football, NFL, boxing, and UFC.
On Tuesday night at Mar-a-Lago, Trump addressed reporters, saying that 2025 would be a “great year.”
“I think we’re going to do very well as a country,” he said. “People don’t respect our country very much right now, but they will respect us greatly.”
When asked about his New Year’s resolutions for 2025, he said, “I just want people to be happy, healthy, and safe.”
The video of Trump and Musk dancing together garnered praise from supporters online and highlighted the continuing close relationship between the two. In the news recently, Musk and Trump’s relationship became the center of attention due to discussions about H-1B visas.
Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy were appointed by Trump to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), and last month they expressed support for H-1B visas, as tech companies including SpaceX and Tesla need foreign talent.
The H-1B visa program allows U.S. companies to hire foreign professionals for specialized work. Critics of the program argue that H-1B holders are often favored over American citizens, with higher salaries. Musk’s views have been met with strong criticism from MAGA supporters.
Trump later expressed his support for the H-1B program.
Last Saturday night, Robert Sterling, Chief Financial Officer of the “Twenty Dollar Consultancy,” posted an analysis of Immigration Department H-1B public data for the past five years on X, confirming that major tech and financial services companies have recruited hundreds of thousands of relatively low-paid professional workers through H-1B visas, rather than attracting the top 0.1% of high-skilled employees.
“America needs to be a destination for the world’s most elite talent. However, the H-1B program has not achieved this objective,” Sterling wrote.
After reading a long series of analyses, Musk replied that the H-1B program has failed and requires significant reform.
In response to reports claiming that Trump is annoyed by Musk frequently making headlines, former White House aide Hogan Gidley told Fox News on Monday that it is clear that Musk, Ramaswamy, and others have a good relationship with Trump.
At the New Year’s party, Trump also stated that he will attend former President Carter’s funeral. Although he may differ with Carter “philosophically and politically,” Trump believes that Carter “sincerely loves and respects our country and everything it stands for.”
“He worked very hard to make America better, and for that, I give him the highest respect,” Trump said.
“He’s truly a good person, and we will certainly miss him,” Trump added.
