【Epoch Times, December 31, 2024】Mrs. Gong’s son, Bob Li, is currently a third-year student in the Dance Department at Feitian University. Bob Li was admitted to Feitian School of Arts in his freshman year of high school, then progressed to Feitian University. He also had the opportunity to intern at Shen Yun Art Group and participate in Shen Yun’s global tour. Mrs. Gong expressed her greatest satisfaction in seeing Bob’s growth at Feitian School and Shen Yun Art Group.
Mrs. Gong introduced that witnessing her son’s development at Feitian School of Arts, Feitian University, and Shen Yun Art Group has transformed Bob into a kind, sincere, responsible, and cheerful child. She expressed immense gratitude towards the teachers at Feitian School and the artists at Shen Yun Art Group for their hard work and dedication.
According to Mrs. Gong, Bob was quite introverted and stubborn in his early years, preferring solitude and showing strong dependence on his family. Unfortunately, with the increasing use of computers for learning at local schools, Bob started indulging in secret gaming, even becoming addicted to it.
As an acupuncturist with a busy work schedule, Mrs. Gong expressed the challenges of balancing Bob’s gaming habits with her work commitments. She would sometimes disconnect the internet at home for a few hours to limit Bob’s gaming time, as she couldn’t constantly monitor him. Parenting in such situations was indeed exhausting.
Similar to many Chinese families residing in North America, Mrs. Gong’s family had a longstanding tradition of attending Shen Yun performances every year. She mentioned their shared love for Shen Yun since Bob was young and his aspiration to join Shen Yun as he grew up.
Mrs. Gong hoped that one day Bob’s good physical condition would enable him to be admitted to Feitian Academy, where he could attend dance training camps during the summer.
In 2016, Bob was admitted to Feitian School of Arts.
His admission was a huge relief for Mrs. Gong, who acknowledged Feitian Academy’s emphasis on character development as a significant factor in Bob’s positive growth. She believed that the school instilled positive values and fostered healthy thinking patterns and behaviors in its students.
Mrs. Gong noted the rampant decline in morality in society and expressed concerns about behaviors like smoking and drinking among students in public schools in the United States. Prior to Bob’s enrollment at Feitian, she had been worried. However, she felt reassured knowing that such issues wouldn’t be a concern for parents with children at Feitian.
Feitian School of Arts is a small elite art school known for its rigorous curriculum that includes cultural and dance classes. Mrs. Gong appreciated the school’s strict discipline, which contributed to Bob’s personal growth.
Bob put in great effort academically at Feitian School of Arts, often practicing dance moves after dinner to excel in his craft. The school’s limitations on internet use enabled him to break free from his gaming addiction.
Bob shared with Mrs. Gong that teachers at Feitian were patient, providing timely assistance to students and showing genuine care in their daily lives, especially in matters of nutrition, ensuring a well-balanced diet with proper protein, fruits, and vegetables.
Attending Feitian School of Arts was a transformative experience for Bob, as he returned home during holidays bearing surprises for his mother. Mrs. Gong was amazed at his knowledge and behaviors, noting his initiative in helping with household chores and his newfound politeness.
Seeing Bob’s positive transformation brought great joy to Mrs. Gong, especially his increased openness and sense of responsibility. The supportive environment at Feitian and interactions with Shen Yun artists contributed significantly to his personal growth.
Bob’s full scholarships at Feitian School and Feitian University, along with subsidies during his internship at Shen Yun, allowed him to gift small tokens to his mother and family upon his return home.
Mrs. Gong felt grateful for the wholesome development of her children at Feitian Academy and Shen Yun Art Group, noting Bob’s progression into a sunny, responsible, and considerate individual.
Lastly, Mrs. Gong expressed her and her husband’s desire for their daughter to follow in her brother’s footsteps and enroll at Feitian Academy, reflecting their greatest wish at the moment.
