Recently, a university teacher in Inner Mongolia sparked heated discussions among netizens after teaching students in class that “women will live longer if they give birth.” This statement was recorded by multiple students and uploaded to social media platforms.
According to a report by “Elephant News,” the teacher, during a lecture, suddenly told the students in the audience, “After giving birth, God will also take care of you, it will make you live a little longer.”
He even emphasized, “Our so-called exceptional women, their lifespans are very short, while the old ladies in the village who have given birth to 8 out of 10 children all lived to be 90 or 100 years old. Those old ladies didn’t have any diseases, their chances of getting sick were very low.”
Reportedly, the teacher is also a physician at a certain hospital.
After the video was exposed, it sparked a lot of questioning and criticism online. Many netizens expressed, “Giving birth leads to longevity? How about those who died from childbirth?”, “My grandmother had 9 children and died at 43.” “Whether you live long or not has nothing to do with giving birth. There are men who don’t give birth but still live long.”
“Soong Mei-ling didn’t have children, yet lived over a hundred years.” “If giving birth is really beneficial, then my uterus should’ve been transferred to the royal family’s heir by now.” “How much is he paid for saying this?” “This is the result of the three-child policy.”
“Ask him if he can help me raise children and pay me a salary. If not, then quietly, they are resorting to all means for the sake of fertility rate.” “Brainwashing doesn’t work, they have started deceiving.” “Can someone with such low intelligence be a teacher?” “Who allowed him to teach children like this, who?” “He should be fired.”
Some joked, “Dear fellow villagers, have more children, because in the future, your retirement pension will rely on your children.”
As of now, the university has not responded to the teacher’s remarks.
