According to reports from the Central News Agency, the Taipei 101 fireworks show is themed “Team Taiwan Champion” to celebrate Taiwan’s victory in the baseball World 12 Strong tournament. The Central News Agency has compiled information on New Year’s Eve events and live broadcast channels nationwide, allowing everyone to feel the festive atmosphere together.
Taipei’s most exciting New Year’s Eve celebration for 2025, named “New Year City 2025,” will take place at Civic Square from 7:00 PM on December 31st to 1:00 AM on January 1st, with hosts Lulu, Dora, William, and Fengtian. The lineup includes a variety of performers such as Apink, Li Shengjie, Yang Naiwen, Energy, Gigi Leung, 831, J.Sheon, and many others. The highlight will be a 6-minute fireworks display at Taipei 101 inspired by Taiwan’s historic championship moment in the 2024 World 12 Strong Baseball tournament.
The event will be broadcasted on various platforms including TV and online channels such as TVBS, public television, and the Taipei Tourism website’s Facebook page. In addition to the main stage in front of the city hall, there will be multiple stages with different music styles at various locations to provide a diverse New Year’s Eve experience for the public.
In Taoyuan, the “Lantern Lantern Lantern” New Year’s Eve event will take place at the Taoyuan High-Speed Rail Station Plaza on December 31st from 7:00 PM to 12:30 AM on January 1st. The hosts will be Xiao Zhong, He Yumin, Do Jin, and Pan Junlun, and the lineup includes Kang Daniel, Daychild, Ding Dang, Chen Fangyu, Bai An, and more. The event will be broadcasted on TV and online channels such as CTV News Channel and ETToday News Cloud YouTube.
Moving to Taichung, the “Snake Appears Happiness” New Year’s Eve event will be held from 6:00 PM on December 31st to 1:00 AM on January 1st at the Shui Nan Central Park in Xitun District. With hosts Ah Ken and Cai Shanghua, the lineup features Wheein, The Loser, and other performers. Broadcasting will be available on channels like Sanli Metropolitan, Taichung Information, and TTV, as well as online on Sanli TV YouTube.
