The American movie website “TC Candler” announces the “Global Most Beautiful Faces” of 2024, with Filipino actress Andrea Brillantes taking the top spot. The rankings are determined based on factors such as internet presence, exposure, and fan popularity. This year, Rose from the popular South Korean group BLACKPINK claimed the seventh spot, while her teammate Jisoo secured second place.
Last year’s champion, Nancy from the South Korean girl group MOMOLAND, slipped to fifth place this year, making way for Andrea Brillantes to claim the top spot. The second to fourth places were taken by Jisoo, Alba Baptista from Portugal (wife of actor Chris Evans), and Canadian professional chess player Andrea Botez, respectively.
TWICE member Tzuyu from Taiwan, a previous winner of “Global Most Beautiful Faces,” has been a consistent presence in the rankings for ten consecutive years. However, her ranking dipped slightly this year to 14th place after placing 11th last year. Her Japanese bandmate Sana secured the 22nd spot. Taiwanese member Shuhua from (G)I-DLE made her second consecutive appearance on the list, ranking 73rd this year.
In the Hollywood sector, Gal Gadot, star of “Wonder Woman,” who previously ranked in the top five, landed in 32nd place this year. Sydney Sweeney, known for her roles in multiple romantic comedies, clinched the 9th spot.
On the male side, the title of “Most Handsome” went to Chris Hemsworth of “Thor,” while Hong Kong actor Jerry Yan retained his position as the runner-up. Responding to the rankings that sparked controversy once again, Jerry Yan expressed on social media, “Please stop putting me on these lists… Every time these rankings come out, I feel so embarrassed. Not to mention you all, even I feel like it’s nonsense. I’m fine being the second handsome at home (the first handsome is my dad).”
