Christmas Eve Airport Dispute in Arizona Leaves 1 Stabbed and 3 Shot

On December 25th, Christmas Day, a shooting incident occurred at Sky Harbor Airport in Arizona. The police are investigating the case, which resulted in three people being shot and one person being stabbed. Authorities believe the incident may have been triggered by a family dispute.

The incident took place at a restaurant located in Terminal 4 of the airport in Phoenix, around 9:45 p.m. The restaurant is situated outside the security checkpoint.

An adult female and two adult males were shot. In a statement, the police mentioned that the female’s injuries are life-threatening, while the condition of the two males is stable, with a prognosis for recovery.

Following the shooting, the police detained a man and a girl in a nearby parking lot. The man had at least one stab wound. After being taken to the hospital, his condition stabilized.

According to the police, the individuals involved were acquainted with each other and engaged in a physical altercation that escalated to the pulling of a gun.

A spokesperson for the Phoenix police stated, “We believe this was an escalated family dispute. We do not suspect any additional perpetrators.”

The police have not yet disclosed potential charges. They are still investigating why these individuals were at the airport and whether they were traveling or present for other reasons.

The shooting incident led to the temporary closure of a security checkpoint at Terminal 4, and the airport train station briefly halted its services.
