In the United States, most grocery stores, retail stores, chain restaurants, banks, and post offices will continue to operate on Christmas Eve but with many adjusting their hours. The stock market is scheduled to close early on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, most stores besides pharmacies will choose to remain closed.

Walmart: Walmart stores typically operate from 6 AM to 11 PM, but on Christmas Eve, hours may vary by location with many stores opening at 6 AM and closing at 6 PM.

Trader Joe’s: Open on Christmas Eve with adjusted hours; closed on Christmas Day.

Sam’s Club: Closes at 6 PM on Christmas Eve and remains closed on Christmas Day.
