On December 21st, the opening day of Harbin Ice and Snow World, attractions like the “Super Ice Slide” saw long lines with some visitors expressing dissatisfaction as they had waited for up to 7 hours without being able to play, leading to some visitors collectively shouting “refund.”
The weather forecast for Harbin on the 21st predicted a low temperature of -22℃. One visitor shared online that they arrived at the park around 6 a.m. and found a long queue already formed outside.
According to a visitor interviewed by “Financial Times,” the line extended in circles.
Due to the long wait times, a netizen posted a video expressing disappointment. In the video, shouts of “refund” from disgruntled visitors can be heard. It was noted that the standard adult ticket price for Harbin Ice and Snow World is 328 yuan per ticket, with a discounted price of 240 yuan per ticket.
Some netizens questioned the chaotic management of Harbin Ice and Snow World, stating, “Last year they shouted for refunds, and this year they did the same. Why not turn it into a show called ‘Refund’?” “How does this happen again this year after last year, is there a problem with the management of the big slide?” “Why don’t people shout for refunds at Disney when queuing?”
Furthermore, someone mentioned, “At one point, they said only those with reservations can enter, but those without reservations were mixed in the queue. Reservation queueing was prohibited and needed to be re-lined up. Plus, the announcement said, if you have successfully booked, you can use the VIP channel. My friend asked the staff how to use the VIP channel, and security directly responded, ‘Who said that, go find them!'”
In response, on the morning of December 22nd, staff at Harbin Ice and Snow World told Da Feng News that there was indeed congestion at the big slide attraction.
The staff member stated, “This situation occurred yesterday (December 21st), and some unreserved visitors may not have been able to play. If there is a need for a refund, registration must be done on-site.”
