In the next week, the weather overview as forecasted by the Taiwan Central Weather Bureau is as follows: From today, daytime temperatures in the northern and northeastern regions will rise as the northeasterly monsoon gradually weakens. Despite this warming trend, mornings and evenings will still be cool in various areas, with significant temperature differences between day and night, especially in central and southern regions.
From today until the 11th, there will be brief localized showers along the Keelung North Coast and northeastern areas, while the eastern and southeastern regions, as well as mountainous areas in Greater Taipei, may experience scattered brief showers. Other areas can expect partly cloudy to sunny skies, with a probability of heavier rain in the northeastern parts on the 10th.
From the 11th night to the 12th, a front will pass over the northern seas and the northeasterly monsoon will intensify, bringing cooler weather to the northern and northeastern regions, with cooling temperatures in the evenings across other areas as well. On the 13th, the influence of the northeasterly monsoon will lead to cooler weather in the north and northeast, with cooler mornings and evenings in other regions too. From the 11th night to the 13th, localized brief showers are expected in areas north of Taoyuan, the northeastern and eastern regions, with scattered brief showers in the northern and southeastern regions, while other areas will experience mostly cloudy conditions.
On the 14th and 15th, the northeasterly monsoon is expected to strengthen again or a cold air mass from the mainland will move southward, causing colder weather in the northern and northeastern regions, with cooler temperatures and cold mornings and evenings in other areas as well. The Keelung North Coast, northeastern areas, and eastern regions are likely to experience localized brief showers, while scattered brief showers are expected in areas north of Taoyuan and the southeastern regions. Other areas will have mostly cloudy skies. Today, there is a probability of high waves along the Keelung North Coast and eastern coastal areas. In the early morning of the 11th, there may be localized fog or low clouds affecting visibility in the Changhua to Tainan regions.
