4.4 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Mochu Gongkar County in Lhasa, Tibet

A 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck Mochu Gongka County in Lhasa, Tibet on November 18. This comes shortly after a 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit the same area on November 7. There have been frequent earthquake occurrences in various parts of China in recent times.

According to the China Earthquake Networks Center, the earthquake at Mochu Gongka County in Lhasa occurred at 15:01 on November 18, with a depth of 10 kilometers and coordinates of 29.83 degrees north latitude and 92.26 degrees east longitude.

Previously, on November 7 at 4:19, another earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale struck the same county with a depth of 10 kilometers and coordinates of 29.85 degrees north latitude and 92.25 degrees east longitude.

In addition to the seismic activity in Tibet, other regions in China have also experienced earthquakes in quick succession.

On November 7, a 3.6 magnitude earthquake occurred near Chongli County in Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, causing tremors felt in Beijing.

On October 26 at 16:35, a 5.5 magnitude earthquake struck Kuqa City in Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang, with a depth of 10 kilometers. Significant tremors were felt in Baicheng, Korla, and Alar.

Another earthquake measuring 3.7 magnitude occurred in Yuli County of Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang on October 22 at 6:40, with a depth of 20 kilometers.

Yuli County experienced seismic activities on October 2, 17, and 20 with earthquakes measuring 3.7, 3.4, and 3.7 magnitudes, respectively.

And on October 7 at 9:24, a 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck Hunyuan County in Datong City, Shanxi Province. These recent earthquakes have raised concerns about seismic activities in various parts of China.
