US-China Summit: Which Officials Will Accompany Both Sides to Attend

On Saturday, November 16, during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum in Peru, United States President Biden met with Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping. Each side sent 9 officials to accompany the meeting.

This is the third face-to-face meeting between President Biden and Chinese leadership during his term, and also the last. The last time they met was during the APEC forum in San Francisco in 2023.

White House officials stated that this summit dialogue is not expected to produce a long list of outcomes or deliverables. President Biden will emphasize U.S. concerns and summarize the achievements of his policy strategy towards China.
