Huang Xiaoming Responds to Girlfriend Controversy, Bows for 30 Seconds before Being Persuaded to Get Up

On the evening of November 15th, Mainland Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming promoted his new film “The Person Wearing a Wig.” In response to the recent controversy surrounding his relationship with internet celebrity Ye Ke, whom he publicly declared his love for in September, Huang Xiaoming expressed deep apologies. He even choked up at one point, bowing deeply for half a minute before being persuaded to stand up by the crew.

It has been over two years since Huang Xiaoming divorced from actress Angelababy. His relationship with Ye Ke sparked debates due to her inadvertent remarks during a live stream which offended Taiwanese singers Wu Bai and David Tao, as well as the revelations of conflicts between her and her ex-husband. This led to criticism from fans for Huang Xiaoming’s choice of girlfriend, ultimately causing Ye Ke to deactivate her social media accounts to quell the situation.

At the premiere of “The Person Wearing a Wig” on November 15th, Huang Xiaoming addressed the recent controversies involving Ye Ke. He said, “Recent events have been quite chaotic and have been troubling. I feel upset, but there’s nothing I can do. I am deeply sorry to have worried many people, and I am especially afraid of affecting this movie. That’s why I feel particularly uneasy.”

He also mentioned, “I have seen all the messages that everyone has sent me, and I will handle my private matters properly. At the same time, I will work hard to deliver more quality film and television productions to everyone.”

Finally, Huang Xiaoming emphasized, “I want to apologize to everyone again!” He choked up and bowed deeply for half a minute, creating a momentarily frozen atmosphere that only thawed when a colleague approached to help him stand up. It was evident that he felt quite helpless in that moment.
