On November 10th, a netizen in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, posted online that a camera was found at the exhaust fan in the public bathroom of a badminton hall in Dongguan.
The netizen mentioned that at the “Success V6 Badminton Hall” on Yujiang Road in Dongguan, a small camera was discovered at the exhaust fan in the public bathroom. She then reported it to the police and warned female customers to be cautious.
Following this incident, a reporter from “Red Star News” contacted the badminton hall for inquiry. The staff admitted the existence of the camera, but the wires were cut, and the police had not yet responded with the investigation results. The camera was located right below the exhaust fan in the third bathroom stall, and they stated that they would conduct a thorough search of the restroom and other areas.
An article by the author “Shuo Yue Entertainment” was posted, stating: “Yesterday, a nurse in the women and children’s changing room found a 24-hour hidden camera. The person was caught, but seemingly only received administrative penalties; today, it’s in the female bathroom again, likely involving internal staff, indicating a prevalent chain of voyeurism… These voyeurism chains must be eradicated from the root source of producing surveillance equipment to the selling and distributing of voyeuristic content, otherwise, the harm will be endless, causing more women to live in fear of being watched and losing their sense of safety in daily life.”
Previously, on November 8th, blogger “Shadow Doesn’t Lie” told Cover News that on October 17th, he and his team discovered hidden pinhole cameras at the maternity and child health care hospital in Anyang, Henan Province, installed in the dressing room next to the breast treatment room on the second floor of the hospital.
The blogger mentioned that his team received a tip about the hospital surveillance cameras on October 17th, with the informant referring to it as the “hospital’s rest area.”
Subsequently, “Shadow Doesn’t Lie” and his team went to the Anyang Maternal and Child Health Hospital, conducted a 5-day surveillance and search, and on October 17th, found the person responsible for the voyeurism and cooperated with the police to report the incident.
