“Trump’s Election Victory Reveals Extremists Softening Their Stance”

Hello everyone, welcome to “Current Affairs Spotlight”. I am Jinran. Please subscribe to our channel, support us, like, comment, and share.

Today’s focus: Trump’s phone call makes extremists surrender; Musk assures Zelezny and Musk asserts the supremacy; Trump declares war on major drug lord, California buries “zero-dollar purchase”; Taiwan cuts off supply of sub-7nm chips to China, Sima Nan labeled as a national demon.

Originally, everyone thought that Trump’s victory in the election would lead to a period of calm before he officially took office on January 20th next year. But Trump, although he doesn’t drink himself, the excitement he brought to the world with his victory turned out to be so intense. It really surprised me.

As someone who deals with news all year round, to be honest, it’s almost an “impossible mission” to be truly surprised by what’s happening in the news now. But this time, Trump’s strong aura really surprised me. If you think I’m exaggerating, don’t worry, let me show you one by one.

On November 6th, Trump was officially elected as the next President of the United States. Let’s see what happened within the next 48 hours.

First of all, no one resisted, even the Hamas terrorist organization that refused ceasefires countless times at the urging of the Biden administration, suddenly announced on the afternoon of November 6th, the day Trump’s victory was confirmed, that they were demanding an “immediate” ceasefire. It’s “immediate”. It’s like in the movies, the small rogues who won’t listen to anyone suddenly surrender when a big brother with real power shows up.

Then, the next day, on the 7th, the Arab country of Qatar in the Middle East announced that they had informed Hamas members who had long been residing in Qatar that they were no longer welcome and must leave Qatar immediately. Even the Arab leader of the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, came out to announce that they no longer welcome any Hamas members to enter the country.

Remember the Houthis, who dared to fire missiles at U.S. warships and sank a British ship in the Red Sea bottleneck? They were like fearless “pirates” in the Middle East.

On the day Trump officially won the election, the spokesman for the Houthi armed group, famous for their attacks, came out and said, and I quote: “Our actions in international waters were only for self-defense, we declare a complete cessation of operations.” This is basically telling Trump: we used to hit this and that, now that we know you’re in charge, we understand, we will never do anything to cause you trouble again. Do you like our attitude?

Not only the troublemakers are understanding, even the gradually forgotten Taliban in Afghanistan couldn’t sit still. They suddenly came out and said they wanted to improve relations with the United States and requested to be removed from the list of terrorists.

The problem is, Trump is busy arranging his cabinet members, he doesn’t even have time to tweet, he hasn’t even had the chance to speak to the Middle East one by one. What kind of drug did they all take that made everyone suddenly so obedient?

You might say, there are more conflicts in the world besides the Middle East, why don’t you mention the Russia-Ukraine war? There are rumors that Trump is going to abandon Ukraine. Have you noticed that the rumors about Trump wanting to sell out Ukraine have never come from Trump himself, but are interpretations from various media and online sources.

A direct example is that Trump has expressed opposition to the Biden administration’s aid plan to Ukraine, but in the mouths of major left-wing media outlets, it becomes “Trump opposes aid to Ukraine”, with the word “plan” deliberately omitted. With Trump’s election, many people are most worried that Trump will abandon support for Ukraine and allow Russia to regain the strategic advantage in the Russia-Ukraine war. So let’s see what Trump did on the day of his election.

On November 8th, an official from the Ukrainian presidential palace told Agence France-Presse that on Wednesday, the day Trump won the U.S. presidential election, Trump had a phone conference with Ukrainian President Zelensky. While Trump only spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu for 20 minutes, the call with Zelensky lasted an hour, indicating the level of significance.

It has been revealed that during the meeting, Trump said two crucial things to Zelensky: one was “I will support Ukraine”, and the other, in my opinion, is more important. During the call, Trump told Zelensky: “I guarantee you will be very satisfied with me.” And in response to the criticism that Trump was sacrificing Ukraine’s interests to end the Russia-Ukraine war, a recent article by Bloomberg had a very interesting passage, stating: “Trump has recently re-evaluated some of his thoughts and realizes that merely pressuring Ukraine to make concessions to Putin without any return is not productive.”

If this reevaluation is the premise, coupled with the statement to Zelensky: “I guarantee you will be very satisfied with me.” I wonder if this will bring some relief to the many supporters in Ukraine? Of course, saying something doesn’t equate to actions, what specific measures Trump will take to satisfy Zelensky will have to wait until he takes office in January next year for things to settle.

During Trump and Zelensky’s meeting, there was an interesting incident, where Trump, in the midst of their conversation, suddenly brought in the world’s richest man, Musk, into the discussion. During Zelensky’s conversation with Musk, Zelensky unexpectedly received a promise: Musk, in front of Trump, personally pledged to continue helping Ukraine through “Starlink”.

Don’t underestimate this promise, as in a war-torn battlefield where everything is bombarded, without satellite positioning and network coordination, the military and all drones being used in the Russia-Ukraine conflict would be useless. With the support of hundreds of Starlink satellites covering the skies over the Russia-Ukraine battlefield, the Ukrainian military can significantly enhance their capabilities in targeting enemies and their movements.

And the Trump effect has even made Putin, who never backs down, lower his guard. Putin stated on the second day of Trump’s election victory: if the Trump administration is willing, he is prepared to resume contact and is ready to discuss ending the war with Trump. In my view, Putin’s sudden change is a true demonstration of him softening his stance.

At the recent BRICS summit, Putin had just pledged to Xi Jinping to abandon the use of the U.S. dollar, calling for a joint effort to “de-dollarize”. However, as soon as Trump won the election, Putin changed his mind, on November 7th, he praised Trump’s courage in the face of an assassin, calling him “a real man” while contradicting another man who can “carry 200 pounds of wheat on his back for ten miles uphill without changing shoulders”, and announced that Russia would not de-dollarize, resuming using the dollar for oil transactions, and stated that Western civilization is no longer an enemy of Russia.

Aside from many bold heads around the world softening their positions, even many allies suddenly had a clear-headed moment, seeing an increase in intelligence and memory.

On November 8th, European Commission President Von der Leyen stated that during a recent phone call with U.S. President-elect Trump, she mentioned an idea: European Union countries still source a significant amount of liquefied natural gas from Russia. Why not replace it with American liquefied natural gas? American LNG is cheaper and can lower our energy costs. According to ship tracking data compiled by Bloomberg, while EU countries were indicating support for sanctioning Russia, this year Western European countries had already purchased more liquefied natural gas from Russia than all of 2023, with Russia’s LNG still being shipped to France, Spain, Belgium, and others.

Even more interestingly, after Trump’s election, NATO member countries suddenly remembered Trump’s demand from four years ago that all NATO member countries must fulfill the agreed requirements.

NATO Secretary General Stoltenberg recently stated: NATO countries are confident in raising their national defense spending to 2% of GDP, and emphasized that he fully agrees with Trump on this aspect regarding Europe’s criticism. Wait, when Trump took office, did the demand that had never changed suddenly stop being seen as “undermining NATO solidarity” and “the shortsightedness of a businessman”?

Another neighboring great nation that has prospered on America suddenly realized one day after Trump’s election that they can still do something within their capacity, so the Mexican government announced on the second day after Trump’s election victory: Mexico will actively work to prevent a large influx of illegal immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Just as illegal immigrants worry about their future, the real shock waves are being felt by the drug cartels around the United States and the countries and organizations behind them. Currently, more than 100,000 Americans die from drug overdoses each year, with 80% caused by fentanyl, and China is the main supplier of fentanyl precursors. Just one day after Trump’s election, Trump made a bold move, declaring direct war on the drug kingdom and the dark forces behind it.

The most unbelievable thing is that with Trump’s election as the new president, the changes in the bluest regions of the United States, California and New York City. First, New York City Mayor Smith announced after talking to Trump: New York City will stop providing financial assistance to illegal immigrants. You see, many illegal immigrants in New York can live rent-free in government-subsidized luxury hotels.

Reportedly, every illegal immigrant family can receive up to $350 per week in cash cards from the New York City government, and don’t forget, the so-called government money is all the hard-earned tax money paid by legal residents of America. And such policies across the U.S. are inspiring more illegal immigrants from various countries to illegally enter the U.S. in various ways.

Even more interestingly, the infamous “zero-dollar purchase” law in California was overturned at the same time as Trump’s election. The “zero-dollar purchase” law stipulates that if someone steals something worth less than $950 in California, it can only be classified as a misdemeanor. The important thing is not the $950 limit, as other states also have similar limits. It’s the fact that from now on, in enforcement of similar cases, California is often not taking any action or even letting the thieves go, which has encouraged a large number of ruffians to gang up and rob stores.

And this notorious Proposition 47 law, known as the “zero-dollar purchase,” which was passed and enforced during Kamala Harris’s tenure as California Attorney General, was approved by California voters on November 6, reversing the “zero-dollar purchase” law. From now on, even stealing items of little value will be considered a felony in California, and the “zero-dollar purchase” law in California has finally been buried.

Even more surprising is how Trump’s election directly affected Taiwan. It is reported that after Trump’s election, Taiwan’s TSMC announced: they will completely cut off the supply of sub-7nm chips to China starting next week. Another piece of news is that on November 9th, it was reported that due to Trump’s assuming office, Sima Nan, a representative of anti-American sentiment in China, was ordered by the CCP’s Cyberspace Administration to be silent for a year.

The CCP’s preparedness for Trump taking office changing tactics was evident. At the end of October, Li Zhiyong, the chief editor of the “People’s Daily” social section, suddenly issued an article clearly trying to distance the CCP from figures like Sima Nan. In the article, Li said: “Sima Nan has not only done these three things in the opposite direction, going to America to buy a house, calling America home, and then making anti-America his career. Is there anything more absurd than this? Claiming to be Chinese, but acting as a national demon. He even has tens of millions of fans, and even foolish local eggs ask him to endorse, not auspicious.”

Well, this “Is there anything more absurd than this?” from the chief editor, how about asking: if it weren’t for the CCP’s initial promotion and the strong support from the CCP’s Cyberspace Administration, how would there be so many absurd things and absurd people in China? But Li editor is right on one point: all present-day CCP officials are indeed: claiming to be Chinese, but acting as national demons.
