On Saturday, the United States Central Command announced that two destroyers of the U.S. Navy passed through the Strait of Hormuz that day. President Trump revealed on Sunday that the reason these two destroyers were able to safely pass through was due to the use of an “incredible” advanced technology that could eliminate enemies attempting to attack U.S. warships within three minutes.
During an interview with Fox News program “Sunday Morning Futures” on Sunday, Trump said, “You might have seen yesterday, we sent two highly advanced, beautiful, brand new destroyers directly through the middle of the (Strait of Hormuz), and no one took any action against us.”
He then explained why these two warships were not attacked by Iran while passing through the strait.
“This is because we traced back the source of the weapons, we went back in reverse and eliminated the people on that side (the enemy), actually eliminating them within three minutes. This technology is simply incredible,” Trump added.
The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a statement on Saturday stating that the U.S. military initiated a mine-clearing mission in the Strait of Hormuz that day. The statement said that the USS Frank E. Peterson and USS Michael Murphy destroyers passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday and conducted operations in the Arabian Gulf as part of a broader mission to ensure the complete clearance of the water mines previously laid by the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
According to Iranian media reports, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy issued a statement on Sunday, stating that any warship approaching the Strait of Hormuz would be considered a violation of the ceasefire agreement and would face a “resolute and robust response.” The statement said that the strait is only open for non-warship passage.
The U.S. Central Command did not disclose in its Saturday statement how these two destroyers safely passed through the Strait of Hormuz. President Trump stated on Sunday that the United States has the most elite navy in the world. He said that any Iranians who attempt to open fire on the U.S. Navy and peaceful vessels will face a hellish strike.
Trump had previously revealed that the United States possesses some secret weapons unknown to the outside world.
On January 3, U.S. helicopters carried out a raid in the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, and captured Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores. President Trump later proudly stated in an interview with the New York Post that during the operation to capture Maduro, a mysterious weapon caused the enemy’s equipment to malfunction when the U.S. military helicopters were in action. Trump emphasized that he wanted to disclose more information about the weapon but was not permitted to do so.
“They (the Maduro authorities) have Russian and Chinese missiles, but not a single one was fired. When we went in, they pressed buttons, and nothing worked. They were ready to confront us,” Trump said at the time.
