In the early morning of March 29th, a building collapsed in Hailin Town, Hailin City, Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province, China. Currently, 9 people are trapped with their fate unknown. Nearby shop owners reported hearing a loud “boom” during the collapse, waking up their sleeping family members.
According to reports from the mainland, the incident occurred around midnight on March 29th.
On the morning of March 29th, a netizen posted on an online platform that a building near the Hailin City train station in Mudanjiang City had collapsed. Videos show a multi-story building collapsing in the middle section, which was adjacent to residential buildings. The collapsed building housed a hot pot restaurant and a karaoke bar.
Xin Huanghe News reported that on March 29th, a shop owner nearby stated that the collapse occurred in the early morning of March 29th. The ground floor of the building housed a hot pot restaurant, while the upper floor was a karaoke bar that operated daily. “The sound during the collapse was especially loud, with a ‘boom,’ waking up sleeping family members,” said the shop owner.
