7 dogs from the same village in Jilin are stolen and travel 17 kilometers together to find their way back home.

In a heartwarming incident that captured the attention of netizens, seven dogs from the same village in Changchun, Jilin Province were abducted by dog thieves with the intention of selling them to a dog meat shop. However, the dogs managed to break open their cages and escape during transportation. They stuck together, taking care of each other, and successfully made a 17-kilometer journey back home. The story of their journey has sparked admiration among people.

According to reports from various Chinese media outlets including Urban Express and Elephant News, on March 16, a sedan driver near Changchun Changshuang Expressway captured footage of the seven dogs walking together on the roadside.

Video footage shows that the dogs, including German Shepherds, Golden Retrievers, Corgis, and Labradors, did not appear to be stray dogs and seemed nervous. One of the German Shepherds appeared to have an injured foot, and the other six dogs let the Shepherd walk in the middle, always sticking around and protecting it. The seven dogs maintained a formation and moved forward as a team throughout their journey.

It was reported that the seven dogs had been previously abducted by dog traffickers and were destined for a dog meat shop. However, they collectively managed to chew through their cages and escape during transportation. As neighbors who often played together, they stuck together and walked 17 kilometers back home as a group.

An employee from a Jilin stray dog shelter confirmed on March 18 that, thanks to the efforts of many kind-hearted individuals, all seven dogs had safely returned home.

On March 19, one of the dog owners stated that their missing German Shepherd and Golden Retriever had returned home. Although dehydrated and exhausted, they were not in life-threatening condition, with the owner expressing gratitude that they were not eaten as dog meat.

Following the exposure of this incident, netizens praised the seven dogs for their loyalty, mutual protection, and unwavering companionship, describing them as true friends in times of adversity.
