2026 Forbes Billionaires List: Elon Musk Doubles Wealth

According to the latest global billionaire list released by Forbes on Wednesday, March 10, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, once again topped the list to become the richest person in the world.

This year’s global billionaire list includes a total of 3,428 billionaires, setting a new record with an increase of 400 people compared to last year. The total wealth on the list is 20.1 trillion US dollars, also a record high with an increase of 4 trillion US dollars from last year.

Elon Musk, 54 years old, saw his wealth nearly double from an estimated 497 billion US dollars last year to a record-breaking 839 billion US dollars this year, surpassing Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin by more than three times. Page and Brin rank second and third in terms of wealth, respectively.

Among the other 7 billionaires in the top 10 list this year are:

– Jeff Bezos, founder of e-commerce giant Amazon, with a wealth of 224 billion US dollars;
– Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, with a wealth of 222 billion US dollars;
– Larry Ellison, founder of Oracle, with a wealth of 190 billion US dollars;
– Bernard Arnault and his family, owners of LVMH, with a wealth of 171 billion US dollars;
– Jensen Huang, co-founder and CEO of NVIDIA, with a wealth of 154 billion US dollars;
– Warren Buffett, the largest shareholder of Berkshire Hathaway, with a wealth of 149 billion US dollars;
– Amancio Ortega, founder of the Spanish fast-fashion brand ZARA, with a wealth of 148 billion US dollars.

Among the Chinese and Hong Kong billionaires in the top 50 global billionaires list are:

– Zhang Yiming, founder of TikTok, ranked 26th with a wealth of 69.3 billion US dollars;
– Ma Huateng, one of the founders of Tencent, ranked 33rd with a wealth of 53.8 billion US dollars;
– Li Ka-shing, founder of the CK Hutchison Holdings in Hong Kong, ranked 42nd with a wealth of 47 billion US dollars.
