On Wednesday, March 11, the Commander of the U.S. Central Command, Brad Cooper, provided an update on the ongoing military operations against Iran. He announced that on Tuesday night, the U.S. military launched an attack on a “large ballistic missile manufacturing facility” within Iran’s borders, resulting in the destruction of the entire Suleimani-class warship.
In a morning press conference on Wednesday, the Central Command released a video on X platform where Cooper stated, “We are systematically dismantling them, targeting Iran’s missiles and drones, as well as their defense industry bases.”
Cooper mentioned, “Just last night, our bomber squadrons attacked a large ballistic missile manufacturing facility, and this is just one example of our actions.”
“So, this is not only directed at the targets that fired at us today but also to eliminate future threats,” he added.
Since the outbreak of the war with Iran, Cooper stated, the U.S. has targeted over 5500 sites within Iran, including over 60 vessels, utilizing a variety of precision-guided weapon systems.
In the video released on X platform by the Central Command, it was shown that within 24 hours of the “Operation Wrath of the Epic” commencement, there had been a significant decrease in the number of ballistic missile and drone attacks from Iran.
“Just yesterday, we launched waves of strikes against Iran almost every hour from different locations and directions,” Cooper said in the video. “We also sank the last Suleimani-class warship, which was the final one among Iran’s four warships of the same class. This means Iran’s entire class of ships has now withdrawn from combat.”
He also outlined some of the measures taken by the United States to prevent Iran from “projecting force from the air and disrupting shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.”
“In the air, we are exerting pressure on the enemy through successive waves of advanced fighter jets to concentrate our air power,” Cooper explained.
He emphasized, “The U.S.’s combat capabilities are strengthening while Iran’s combat capabilities are weakening. We are aggressively targeting Iran’s ballistic missiles and drones every day.”
Cooper added that he was “impressed” by the performance of the U.S. military branches.
“The entire team has performed exceptionally well. As I’ve mentioned, our joint forces’ strike operations are still ongoing. Clearly, we are exercising air superiority over significant areas in Iran,” he stated.
“Our advantage is not solely based on our own efforts but is a testament to the strength of our solid ally forces,” he concluded.
