On Saturday, March 7, President Trump at the “Shield of the Americas” summit stated that if the United States does not carry out the “Midnight Hammer Operation” to target Iran’s key nuclear facilities in the summer of 2025, Iran might have already possessed nuclear weapons.
“They are very close to having nuclear weapons. If we hadn’t carried out the ‘Midnight Hammer’ operation with B-2 bombers, they would have had nuclear weapons 8 months ago. They may already have nuclear weapons,” Trump said.
In June 2025, Israel and the United States launched airstrikes on Iran, destroying at least three key Iranian nuclear facilities. In December of the same year, large-scale protests erupted within Iran. Prior to this, Iranian authorities had been responding to protests from the public by intensifying stability maintenance and large-scale arrests.
During a meeting with German Chancellor Merkel at the White House on Tuesday, March 3, Trump spoke about Iran, saying, “They (the current regime in Iran) are evil, that is their entire ideology. During the last major protest, they used machine guns to shoot unarmed civilians, killing 35,000 people. This is an evil ideology.”
The President also added on Saturday that the “Epic Wrath Operation” jointly launched by the United States and Israel against Iran will “truly serve the world, rather than just serving the Middle East.”
He condemned the current Iranian regime saying, “These people are sick, very sick.”
On Saturday, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates reported intercepting missiles and drones launched by Iran. Hours earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian apologized and vowed to cease attacks on neighboring countries.
However, the UAE Ministry of Defense stated intercepting Iranian missiles and drones, while the Qatar Ministry of Defense reported intercepting an Iranian missile attack. Additionally, Bahrain sounded its seventh alarm on Saturday.
Previously, the US Central Command on Friday condemned Iran for launching attacks on 12 different countries in the region since the start of the “Epic Wrath Operation.” The Central Command stated that these attacks included Iran launching attack drones towards civilian residential areas in Bahrain.
