Trump: No Agreement Unless Iran Surrenders Unconditionally

On Friday morning, U.S. President Trump posted a message on the “Truth Social” platform, outlining conditions for the U.S. to halt its military actions against Iran. He stated that unless Iran surrenders unconditionally, the U.S. will not engage in any agreements with Iran.

“After that surrender, after electing a great and acceptable leader, we and many of our outstanding and brave allies and partners will tirelessly work to pull Iran back from the brink of destruction, making its economy stronger and more prosperous than ever before,” Trump wrote in his post on Friday. “Iran will have a bright future. Make Iran great again (MIGA!)”

Up to this point, the U.S. President and the Pentagon have consistently refused to provide a specific timeline for ending the war with Iran. In a late-night interview published by Time magazine on Thursday, Trump expressed his belief that the U.S.’s goals could be achieved within four to five weeks, although he stated there is “no time limit on anything,” but he hopes to “achieve (the goals) as soon as possible.”

On Thursday, Trump stated that he must be involved in the appointment of Iran’s next leader, emphasizing that any succession plan involving Mojtaba Khamenei, the son of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is unacceptable.

“They are wasting time. The son of Khamenei is an insignificant figure. I must be involved in the appointment, just like in Venezuela with Delcy Rodriguez,” Trump said in an interview with Axios news website, referring to the interim president of Venezuela, Rodriguez, who took over presidential duties after the capture of Maduro by the U.S.

Trump stated that he would not accept a successor perpetuating Khamenei’s policies.

On Thursday, at an event celebrating Inter Miami CF’s victory in the MLS Cup at the White House, Trump mentioned during the “Epic Wrath Operation” progress that the U.S. military and its Israeli partners are “continuously and thoroughly destroying” the Iranian military.

“The U.S. military, along with our outstanding Israeli partners, are working to thoroughly destroy the enemy at a pace far beyond expectations. This is an unprecedented level of impact. In fact, we are destroying Iran’s missiles and drones every hour with such force that it is unbelievable. Once they launch a missile, the launch device is shot down within four minutes. They have no idea what is happening,” the President said.

Trump also highlighted Iran’s significant military losses, stating that Iran’s air defense systems, air force, communication equipment, aircraft, missiles, and launch capabilities have all been eliminated.

The President mentioned Iran’s desire to reach an agreement with the U.S., saying, “They called to ask how we can reach an agreement. I said, you are a bit late, we are more eager for war than they are now. We have been fighting against this group for 47 years, the exact number of years depending on how you count. But these 47 years have been a nightmare,” Trump said.

White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt stated on Friday that the U.S. has “plenty” of equipment to “complete the ‘Epic Wrath Operation’.” It was reported that Trump would meet with defense contractors on Friday, with Levitt stating that the meeting had been scheduled “several weeks in advance.”

Levitt told Fox News, “No matter how long the ‘Epic Wrath Operation’ continues, the U.S. military has sufficient ammunition and weapons reserves to continue to destroy the Iranian regime and complete the operation.”

“However, President Trump has always placed great emphasis on strengthening our military capabilities, which is why the meeting with defense contractors was arranged several weeks ago. The President will continue to urge these American companies to expedite the production of American-made weapons, which are the best in the world.”
