In recent times, there have been increasing reports of missing persons cases in various parts of mainland China. Particularly concerning is the higher proportion of individuals under the age of 35, including young adults, adolescents, and children. Many people have expressed their concerns as these missing cases spread to multiple locations, causing unease and panic among the public.
One blogger recently shared in a video, “I just came across the list of missing persons from October 2025, and my hands are shaking.”
This list reveals that in just October of last year, nearly 80 individuals under the age of 39 went missing, with the majority being minors below high school age. Many netizens believe that this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Furthermore, some netizens have compiled statistics showing that within just 11 days from December 20 to 31, 2025, at least 136 individuals under the age of 35 went missing in 21 provinces across China, with the youngest being only 8 years old.
Wang Rui from Shandong province told The Epoch Times that the trend of missing persons cases spreading from south to north is evident, with a noticeable increase in local cases occurring around him. He said, “It has already spread from the south to our Shandong province; there have been more cases in Shandong, with several individuals going missing in Yantai in recent days. Thirteen-year-olds, fourteen-year-olds, seventeen or eighteen-year-olds, and even people in their thirties are among the missing. There are so many missing persons now, and many people are afraid to go out.”
Wang Rui lives in a school district housing area and mentioned that during school drop-off and pick-up times, the roads in front of the school are congested with vehicles waiting to collect or drop off children. He expressed, “It’s terrifying; parents have to watch their children closely. Some parents even tie a rope around their child’s neck when going out, as the domestic situation is too chaotic.”
Li Min, a resident of Xi’an, Shaanxi province, also shared with The Epoch Times that before the Chinese New Year, there were multiple incidents of student disappearances in Xi’an, Xianyang, and Weinan. Prior to the New Year, a sixteen-year-old girl went missing near his home subway station. He remarked, “They just vanish from the streets, can they still be found? Organ harvesting has infuriated the public.”
Li Min mentioned that previously, he mainly saw reports of missing persons online, but now these incidents are happening around him, causing fear among the community who dare not go out. “Especially with organ harvesting, many people on TikTok are saying, ‘It’s almost New Year, take care of your ‘parts’ at home.’ Cutting up bodies all day, in the end, isn’t it all directed by Xi Jinping? People are openly criticizing him now.”
Eric MY, a second-generation Chinese Communist Party official who previously worked within the party system, revealed to The Epoch Times in July 2025 that the CCP’s surveillance system can locate a person within 5 seconds. He questioned, “Why can’t they find the missing persons? Most of the missing youth in China have had their organs harvested because the organs of young people are the healthiest and most valuable, and the government is behind organ harvesting.”
