In a recent revelation by Republican Congressman Eric Burlison, it was disclosed that an unidentified flying object (UFO) had reportedly crashed in a location outside the United States, with its massive size rendering it immovable. Consequently, authorities were forced to construct a large building around it to conceal the object.
According to a report by Newsmax, Burlison mentioned during an interview with the television channel on February 16th that there was an unidentified abnormal phenomenon (UAP, commonly known as UFO) outside the U.S. borders. The object was described as excessively large and stationary, prompting the construction of an entire building around it. Burlison expressed his intent to visit the site.
The congressman stated that although he lacks concrete evidence of the object’s existence, reports have circulated both within and outside the government regarding its presence.
He mentioned, “I won’t reveal the specific country because I heard about it in a private setting, and I need to protect my security clearance.” Despite rumors suggesting South Korea might be harboring a large UFO, Burlison expressed skepticism about such claims. Nevertheless, his attempts to seek answers from the South Korean government have been consistently thwarted.
Burlison noted the difficulty even in gaining access to facilities within a few miles of his Washington D.C. office, stating, “So, trying to obtain comparable permissions in another country is nearly impossible. But that doesn’t mean I will give up trying.”
He believes that many organizations are merely safeguarding their information, likening the handling of UFO-related data to a commodity tightly controlled.
“Some committees will defend their own turf. So if you’re not in the right committee, your requests are often denied,” he added.
Furthermore, Burlison emphasized the bureaucratic nature of Congress, where multiple committees may have jurisdiction over a single issue and tend to veto each other’s opinions, making addressing matters very complex.
However, he pledged to be transparent with the American public regarding the question of the existence of extraterrestrial beings. If he acquires solid evidence, whether physical or visual, he assured he would do everything in his power to uphold national security and interests, never concealing the truth about the existence of aliens.
“Any government has no right to withhold this information from the people,” Burlison affirmed.
As a member of the House Oversight Committee, Burlison has been dedicated to enhancing transparency in UAP affairs.
In August 2025, he introduced the “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) Disclosure Act of 2025” as an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act. The proposal seeks to preserve and disclose government records related to UAP, along with providing oversight mechanisms.
The bill aims to prevent federal agencies from destroying or concealing records. Supporters believe this measure will help clarify the extent of authorities’ understanding of unidentified aerial phenomena. Critics, however, warn of the risk of leaking sensitive national defense information through such actions.
Shortly after Burlison’s appearance on the Newsmax program, President Trump announced late on February 19th that he had instructed all government departments to publicly release any government files concerning extraterrestrial life and UFOs.
Trump stated on the social media platform Truth Social that he would direct the Secretary of Defense and other relevant departments and agencies to begin identifying and releasing government documents and related information regarding alien life, UAP, and UFOs.
