18-year-old girl from Tianjin, China missing in Malaysia for 4 days with phone switched off.

Eighteen-year-old Zhang Xinmeng from Tianjin has been missing in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, for 4 days. Her friends claimed that she suffers from bipolar disorder, and before going missing, she mentioned being “detained” and needing to “surrender her phone.” Her family has issued a missing person notice.

According to a report by “Litchi News,” Zhang Xinmeng’s friend Jia Yi said that after alerting the police, they learned that Zhang Xinmeng had taken Shenzhen Airlines flight ZH327 from Shenzhen to Kuala Lumpur on February 11th. Around 6 p.m. on February 12th, she sent a series of unclear messages, and her phone has been switched off since then.

Jia Yi mentioned that in their last conversation, Zhang Xinmeng said she was being detained, asked to “lie on the ground,” told not to message her, and that she would have to surrender her phone immediately.

Jia Yi revealed that Zhang Xinmeng’s parents are divorced, and she had been living with her father and stepmother. However, she later cut off contact with her family due to her bipolar disorder, and it is currently unclear what her situation was when she sent the final messages.

Currently, Zhang Xinmeng’s friends are rushing to Kuala Lumpur to seek help from the local police.
