Furthermore, Takanashi shared details about her medical treatment. She mentioned that on Friday, she underwent examinations and treatments at the hospital, including X-rays, blood tests, and injections. Her two fingers were severely bent, causing concern whether they were fractured, but the doctor reassured her that there were no fractures, and once the inflammation and pain subside, things will be fine.
Takanashi also stated that she would apply pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory ointments, wear protective gear, and continue to work diligently. She mentioned that since taking office as Prime Minister last autumn, her daily movements being reported by the media, she had neglected routine blood tests crucial for patients with rheumatoid arthritis to avoid inconveniencing the hospital. Additionally, her unfinished dental treatment has been postponed.
“But I understand that maintaining health is also a part of my job,” she said. “In the future, if necessary, I will confidently seek medical help.”
