Latest developments in the Geslee case: a man detained by the police for questioning.

There has been a significant breakthrough in the case of the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie. Law enforcement officials confirmed on Tuesday night that a man has been detained for questioning in the southern part of Tucson, Arizona.

FBI Director Patel also confirmed that this is a kidnapping case and they have identified multiple persons of interest. The investigation is now at a crucial stage, with law enforcement agencies working diligently to search for evidence and bring the missing person to justice.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Office stated that the detained man was taken into custody during a traffic stop in the southern part of Tucson.

“The individual is currently being questioned in connection with the Nancy Guthrie case,” the department said. However, no charges have been filed against him yet.

Just hours ago, the FBI released surveillance footage showing a man suspected of vandalizing cameras outside Guthrie’s home, but authorities have not confirmed if the detainee is indeed the suspect in the video.

CNN’s Chief Law Enforcement and Intelligence Analyst, John Miller, commented, “We are at a critical moment.”

Miller explained that investigators are currently focused on obtaining information about the detained individual’s assets, including his residence, vehicles, and whether he has rented a storage unit. They may also be in the process of applying for search warrants to gather more evidence.

Meanwhile, FBI Director Patel confirmed to Fox News in a late-night interview on Tuesday that the FBI’s investigation is expanding to include multiple persons of interest.

“We are looking into some individuals who, as we’ve said, are persons of interest,” Patel said. The FBI’s primary goal is to find Guthrie and then identify those involved in the case to ensure they face legal consequences.

84-year-old Nancy Guthrie has been missing for 10 days since her last known whereabouts at home on January 31. Local and federal law enforcement agencies are working around the clock to locate her. She is the mother of American journalist and TV host Savannah Guthrie.

Authorities once again urge the public to provide any information they may have. If you have any relevant information, please call the FBI tip line.
