Recently, the mainland China market regulatory authority reported that the chain brand “Putian’s Here” has been involved in unauthorized use of trademarks from 19 international brands such as Nike, Adidas, LV, resulting in a large-scale infringement operation amounting to 6.544 million yuan.
The company “Putian’s Here Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd.” has been selling a large quantity of infringing products in its chain stores, involving well-known international brands such as Nike, Adidas, LV, MLB, and New Balance. These infringing products have been circulating through franchise store channels, with a wide coverage and large quantities.
Public information reveals that a total of 232 stores were found to be engaging in illegal operations involving infringing sales, totaling an accumulated amount of 6.544 million yuan. The products in question, in terms of appearance, logos, and branding usage, have not been authorized by the relevant rights holders.
“Putian’s Here” has rapidly expanded through a chain franchise model and had opened over 170 stores in 23 provinces nationwide by 2024, with a target of achieving “a thousand stores” at the time.
It is noteworthy that their promotional materials had claimed that “all products are reviewed and authorized by lawyers before being launched, and product quality inspection reports and certificates are provided.” However, their actual operating behavior clearly deviates from the aforementioned promise.
According to business registration information, “Putian’s Here Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd.” was established in 2024 in Putian, Fujian province. The trademark rights of “Putian’s Here” belong to Putian’s Here Brand Management Co., Ltd. This case has not only shed light on the issue of trademark infringement in the market but also serves as a reminder for businesses to adhere to proper authorization procedures and intellectual property rights protection. Such incidents highlight the importance of legal compliance and ethical business practices in the ever-competitive retail industry.
