NBC host’s mother mysteriously disappears, suspected of being kidnapped or abducted.

Recently, the well-known host of NBC’s “Today Show,” Savannah Guthrie, faced a sudden tragedy at her home. Her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, went missing from her residence in Arizona over the weekend. Sources revealed that authorities found traces of blood at Nancy’s home in Tucson, along with signs of forced entry.

According to a report from the LA Times on Tuesday, law enforcement sources stated that investigators discovered bloodstains at Nancy’s residence in Tucson.

On Monday, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos confirmed during a press conference that authorities are treating the case as a criminal investigation.

Sheriff Nanos stated, “We have found a crime scene; a crime has indeed occurred. We know she did not leave on her own, her mobility is very limited.”

It is still unclear whose blood was found inside the house. However, as reported by the Associated Press, investigators found clear signs of forced entry at the scene. Nancy remains missing, but her phone, wallet, and car were left at home and were not missing.

A law enforcement source informed Fox News that there were bloodstains from the entrance of the house to the driveway. A spokesperson for the Pima County Sheriff’s Office told Fox News that they believe Nancy Guthrie was either kidnapped or abducted.

Sheriff Nanos emphasized on Monday that Nancy has a medical condition requiring daily medication, and after being missing for over 24 hours without access to medication, it could have fatal consequences. He urged anyone with information or the individual responsible for her disappearance to contact the authorities.

Currently, the authorities have set up a hotline for information and are offering a $2,500 reward. The FBI and Border Patrol have been involved in assisting with the investigation, and the Homicide Unit has also joined the task force.

Since the news of Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance broke, Savannah Guthrie has temporarily left the anchor desk to rush to Arizona. She took to social media, requesting the public to pray for her mother. She described her mother, Nancy, as a “deeply faithful, kind, and loyal servant of the Lord.”

She pleaded, “Please believe in the power of prayer to bring her home.”

Nancy Guthrie is highly respected in the Tucson community. After her husband’s passing, she single-handedly raised three children, including Savannah, into adulthood. Currently, members of Nancy’s church and neighbors are voluntarily organizing support efforts, hoping for a miracle.

According to police, Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance was first noticed by members of her church. On Sunday (February 1), when Nancy did not show up for service as scheduled, her church friends immediately contacted her family out of concern. When family members rushed to Nancy’s solitary residence, they discovered she was missing and promptly called 911. Police investigation confirmed that Nancy was last seen on Saturday evening in her home.
