Chinese Communist Party National People’s Congress delegate attacked by robbers in the middle of the night, Paris mansion robbed.

A Chinese lawmaker was attacked by robbers while sleeping in his Paris home, according to a report from Agence France-Presse on Friday. The prosecutor in Paris stated that valuable jewels and luxury items worth millions of euros were stolen during the incident.

The attack took place overnight on January 29-30 in the upscale 16th district of Paris, as reported by the prosecutor’s office. Authorities found no signs of forced entry at the scene.

The prosecutor added that the Chinese lawmaker “was attacked while sleeping and reported that several pieces of jewelry and luxury items were stolen.”

It was further mentioned by the prosecutor that the robbers may have entered unauthorized using keys, which could be considered as an aggravating factor.

A police source stated that the victim woke up upon hearing noises and was struck on the head by the robbers before they fled.

The suspects reportedly escaped with a watch, a brooch, and other valuable items, with the estimated loss ranging between 6 to 7 million euros. The source also mentioned that the Chinese lawmaker reported the involvement of two thieves.
