Trump and the First Lady Attend the Premiere of the Documentary “Melania”.

President Trump and First Lady Melania attended the global premiere of the documentary film “Melania” on Thursday (29th) at the Trump-Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. The film portrays First Lady Melania Trump’s experiences in the 20 days leading up to her husband’s presidential inauguration on January 20, 2025, and it premiered worldwide on January 30.

“I watched it for the first time two days ago, and I really liked this work,” President Trump praised. “It showcases the rare elegance of today. Our country needs this grace.”

Before the premiere, the presidential couple walked on a black carpet for interviews with reporters. The design of this carpet was specifically chosen to reflect the film’s black and white branding.

Melania Trump described the documentary as graceful and moving. She said, “I am very proud of this film.” She explained that the film documents her journey from a civilian to the role of the First Lady.

“The shooting schedule was very hectic, they followed us from morning till night,” she said.

Melania pointed out that the film captures many important moments, including preparations for the inauguration ceremony, managing businesses and charity work, taking care of the family, moving into the White House, setting up the East Wing office, and hiring staff.

During the event, Trump praised his wife and stated that viewers will gain deeper insights into the First Lady through watching this film.

“She is an extremely intelligent and influential figure, deeply caring for the country and passionately loving the nation,” Trump emphasized. “I believe you will enjoy this work.”

“Melania” will be released in theaters across the U.S. on January 30, with international screenings starting simultaneously.

Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and directed by Brett Ratner, the film documents Melania’s preparation to re-emerge into the public eye.

Melania stated, “Audiences will witness rich emotional expressions, style, moments of grief, celebrations, and profound love. This is the message we want to convey to the viewers.”

As part of the distribution plan, the premiere was live-streamed to invited audiences at 21 theaters nationwide. The documentary is expected to be screened on approximately 1,600 screens globally, including about 1,500 locations within the U.S. After theater screenings, the film will exclusively premiere on the Amazon Prime Video platform.

During the premiere, President Trump also announced several major news pieces. He stated that the choice for the next Federal Reserve Chair will be revealed on Friday (30th) morning.

“This will be an outstanding individual, not surprising to the public. Many believe this person should have been in this role years ago. It will be someone widely respected within the financial world. I believe this is an excellent choice, hopefully,” Trump emphasized.

He also faced sharp questions during the event.

When asked what he would be today if he hadn’t met his wife, Trump joked, “That’s a dangerously sharp question.”

“She indeed helped a lot, performed exceptionally well. Highly respected, extremely intelligent, composed – sometimes I may not be as steady,” Trump assessed Melania.

Cabinet members including Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, Secretary of Health and Public Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Education Linda McMahon, and others attended the premiere. Speaker of the House Johnson and several Republican lawmakers were also present.
