Mainland Famous Toy Factory Deliberately Set on Fire, Some Products Destroyed

Chinese toy company Myethos has announced that due to a recent arson incident at their manufacturing factory, some of the products scheduled for shipment in January have been destroyed and the delivery will be delayed.

According to a report from Southern Metropolis Daily, on January 28th, it was revealed that the incident occurred around 1 am on January 23rd at Myethos (Hangzhou) company. Fortunately, the regular employees responded promptly and no casualties were reported.

On January 27th, Myethos official Weibo account released a video surveillance footage of the accident scene. The video shows that around 1:34 am on the incident day, a person took advantage of the absence of other employees nearby, set fire to and ignited the parts stored in the factory. About ten seconds later, several employees arrived, and the arsonist also brought a fire extinguisher to help extinguish the fire, but the entire process of arson was fully recorded.

Due to the arson incident in the early hours of January 23rd, Myethos announced that the products scheduled for shipment in January have been destroyed. The affected products will be gradually shipped starting in early February.
