Fujian Man Found Roaming the Streets of Cambodia with Confused Mind and Numerous Injuries

Recently, a man from Fujian was found wandering on the streets of Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, with multiple injuries and unclear consciousness, attracting attention.

A video of a Chinese man wandering on the streets of Cambodia has been circulating online. On January 16, the person who posted the video, Li Can, shared his experience of helping the man with Ziniu News and Xiaoxiang Morning News. According to his account, he was doing business in Cambodia involving printing ink and hotels. On January 14, when he came out from a hotel to go to the Cambodian immigration office, he saw a Chinese man lying at the hotel entrance surrounded by a few onlookers. He approached the man and asked where he was from, to which the man replied he was from Longyan, Fujian. Li Can asked him if he had been beaten, to which the man said no. However, Li Can noticed visible injuries on the man’s legs, and upon further inspection, saw that he had numerous wounds and was disoriented. Some speculated that the man might have been beaten in a park and then dumped on the street.

Li Can mentioned that initially he was a bit scared and hesitant to take the man in, but felt sorry for him and eventually decided to help. He arranged for another stranded compatriot he had previously helped to give the man a bath, change his clothes, and check his body.

“In the evening, we went live to help him find his family, broadcasting for about an hour. His family saw the live stream and connected with him,” Li Can said. The man was deceived into going to Cambodia, was assaulted, and was not in good condition. Currently, they are communicating with the man’s family to bring him back to China.

Li Can explained that after a major crackdown on telecom fraud operations in Myanmar a few years ago, some fraudsters moved to Cambodia. Since then, there have been frequent cases of compatriots being exploited and abandoned on the streets or escaping on their own. He has helped many such individuals.

The man’s cousin, Mr. Fu, stated that the man’s surname is Zheng. His biological mother passed away when he was young, his father has been paralyzed for many years, and due to financial difficulties at home, he dropped out of high school and went to work elsewhere. They lost contact with him a few months ago and only found out about his whereabouts in Cambodia after seeing the video.

On January 29, Mr. Fu posted a video saying that he and the man’s uncle and cousin had already arrived in Cambodia to bring the man back home.
