San Jose National Day Parade Celebrates American Spirit

On July 4th last Friday, the weather was beautiful with a gentle breeze in San Jose, California, as the city celebrated America’s Independence Day by hosting the “Rose, White & Blue Parade” event.

The “Rose, White & Blue Parade” organized by a non-profit organization carries on the tradition of the Rose Parade that began in 1896, spreading the holiday theme of “independence and peace.” It attracted over fifty teams and thousands of people to participate in the parade, sharing joy together.

San Jose Mayor Matt Mahan and his wife Silvia, along with their family and colleagues, walked at the forefront of the parade, waving to residents along the route, offering holiday greetings, and taking friendly photos with the teams. He expressed his hope to develop San Jose into a city that is “cleaner, safer, and a leading AI smart city.”

Media outlets that adhere to the principles of “tradition and truth” in news reporting, such as Epoch Times and the English television media NTD, decorated floats that complemented the theme and festive atmosphere of the event, participating in the parade and bringing surprises to the audience along the way.

Mikaela, a member of the Mexican dance troupe Mi Tierra Colombiana, expressed during an interview with Epoch Times that, “Today we’re wearing our dance troupe’s beautiful costumes, performing festive dances to bring happiness and a sense of freedom to the community.”

Among the elected officials attending the event were U.S. Senator Adam Schiff, California 15th District Senator Dave Cortese, and San Jose 7th District City Councilor Bien Doan.
