Mysterious White Giant Spiral Light Shadow Appears in the Night Sky of the UK, Sparking Discussion

Late in the night on Monday, a mysterious blue and white spiral light appeared in the sky over the UK, leaving onlookers amazed.

Many people captured this mysterious blue and white spiral light and uploaded it to social media, joking that it could be “aliens” or a gateway to another world. A British individual on Platform X mentioned that he and his son spotted a strange light vortex in the sky while stargazing through a telescope. Another person exclaimed, “Aliens?”

According to the Daily Mail, sightings of this vortex were reported in Yorkshire, Hertfordshire, Bristol, Milton Keynes, Stoke-on-Trent, Hampshire, and Kent. A witness from Wales described it as “a bright object streaking through the night sky with a faint spiral cloud around it.”

Even in Uppsala, Sweden, people reportedly witnessed this mysterious light phenomenon, as reported by Agence France-Presse.

The UK Meteorological Office posted on Platform X late Monday night, acknowledging numerous reports of a luminous vortex in the sky and dismissing claims of aliens, suggesting a possible connection to a SpaceX rocket launch by the world’s richest man, Elon Musk.

The office explained that the Falcon 9 rocket was launched earlier from Cape Canaveral, Florida, and its cold exhaust gases spun and reflected sunlight in the upper atmosphere, creating the spiral light effect. When the rocket rapidly spins and releases excess fuel, the fuel freezes, reflects light, and eventually turns into water vapor.

The launch was part of the classified “NROL-69” mission for the US National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), which handles spy satellites for the US military and serves intelligence agencies, government entities, and decision-makers.

British physicist Brian Cox also shared a video of the rocket launch, stating, “This is the reason for the vortex.” The British Astronomical Association added that this phenomenon was caused by the ignition of the rocket’s second stage when it departed from orbit.

Similar celestial events have occurred in the past, such as the blue vortex produced by the Falcon 9 fuel emissions over New Zealand airspace in 2022.
