Former Director of the Personnel Department of the State Administration of Taxation of the Communist Party of China Yang Jianglong has been transferred to the judiciary.

Recently, the former director of the Personnel Department of the State Administration of Taxation of the Chinese Communist Party, Yang Jianglong, was expelled from the Party and transferred to the judiciary.

On November 26, the website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Supervisory Commission announced that the Discipline Inspection and Supervisory Commission stationed at the State Administration of Taxation and the Supervisory Commission of Shanxi Province conducted disciplinary review and supervision investigation into the serious violations of discipline and laws by Yang Jianglong, former director of the Personnel Department of the State Administration of Taxation.

According to the announcement, Yang Jianglong transferred and concealed illicit funds and goods; improperly accepted banquets and arranged travel activities; abused his power to seek benefits for others in terms of job adjustments and accepted bribes; violated regulations by accepting gifts and money, and receiving driver services provided by management service targets; lived a luxurious life; took advantage of his position to seek profits for others in terms of job transfers, promotions, enterprise operations, and project contracting, and received huge sums of money; utilized the convenience formed by his previous power and status to seek inappropriate benefits for others in tax inspections, equity transfers, etc., and received substantial amounts of money.

The announcement stated that Yang Jianglong was expelled from the Party, had his retirement benefits canceled, and was transferred to the judicial system.

Yang Jianglong was removed from his position in early April this year, and there is little information available about him.

It is worth noting that since 2023, several officials from the State Administration of Taxation and its affiliated units have been investigated.

On January 30, 2024, Jin Shihao, former second-level inspector of the Shanxi Provincial Taxation Bureau of the State Administration of Taxation, was investigated; on December 4, 2023, Hu Jinmu, former deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Taxation Bureau, was investigated; on November 16 of the same year, Li Guanghui, deputy director of the International Taxation Department, was investigated; on October 23, 2023, Bao Peng, former first-level inspector of the Jiangsu Provincial Taxation Bureau, was investigated; on September 4, 2023, Rong Yong, former deputy inspector of the Sichuan Provincial Taxation Bureau, was investigated; on August 28, 2023, Zhao Guoji, former inspector of the Collection and Technology Development Department, was investigated; on March 21, 2023, Wang Kai, second-level inspector of the Qinghai Provincial Taxation Bureau, was investigated; on February 14, 2023, He Li, former first-level inspector of the Liaoning Provincial Taxation Bureau, was investigated.
