On May 16th, netizens revealed that around 3 a.m. on the 15th, a female teacher in her twenties jumped into the river at Huangzhou Bridge in Chongren County, Fuzhou, Jiangxi. The woman was a teacher at a school in Chongren, and from the 15th to the 16th, search and rescue teams have been unable to locate her.
On the 17th, the Xiaoxiang Morning News reported that the Chongren County Public Security Bureau confirmed the incident of the woman jumping into the river, but as of now, she has not been found by rescuers.
Staff from a school in Chongren confirmed that the woman was indeed a teacher at the school but were unclear about the specifics. Subsequently, the staff member mentioned that the woman jumped into the river due to personal reasons.
Officials from the Chongren County Emergency Management Bureau stated that the woman committed suicide and had left a suicide note. To obtain more details, contacting the police is necessary. However, the Chongren County Public Security Bureau stated that this matter involves personal privacy and cannot be disclosed.
