Chinese Communist Party Sends 49 Warships to Harass Taiwan, Taiwan Military Tightens Surveillance and Response

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China (Taiwan) stated that from 6:00 am on the 27th to 6:00 am today (28th), a total of 49 planes and ships from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) were detected operating around the Taiwan Strait, and the Taiwanese military is closely monitoring and responding to the situation.

According to the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China (Taiwan), the Chinese Communist Party’s military activities in the sea and airspace around the Taiwan Strait were monitored from 6:00 am on the 27th to 6:00 am today, revealing the detection of 41 sorties of CCP aircraft (including 24 sorties crossing the median line into the northern, central, and southwestern airspace) and 7 CCP ships and 1 government vessel, totaling 49 CCP aircraft and ships continuously operating around the Taiwan Strait.

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China (Taiwan) released a diagram today illustrating the Chinese Communist Party’s activities in the airspace around the Taiwan Strait. From 8:20 am to 8:10 pm on the 27th, 5 sorties of CCP main and support aircraft were detected in the northern airspace outside Taiwan’s Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ), with 2 sorties entering the northern airspace within Taiwan’s ADIZ.

Furthermore, on the 27th from 7:10 am to 4:00 pm, the Taiwanese military detected 29 sorties of CCP main and support aircraft in the Taiwan Strait airspace, with 15 sorties crossing the median line. From 9:15 am to 8:40 pm on the 27th, the Taiwanese military detected 7 sorties of CCP main and support aircraft in the southwestern airspace of Taiwan.

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China (Taiwan) noted that the Taiwanese military is using reconnaissance aircraft, ships, and missile systems to closely monitor and respond to the situation.

On the 27th at 12:30 pm, the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China (Taiwan) issued a press release stating that starting from 8:48 am, a total of 33 sorties of various types of CCP aircraft including J-16s and KJ-500 airborne early warning aircraft, as well as drones, have been continuously detected engaging in maritime activities. Among them, 20 sorties have crossed the median line and its extension, entering the airspace in the northern, central, and southwestern regions of Taiwan, in conjunction with CCP ships, under the guise of “joint combat readiness patrols,” harassing the airspace and waters around Taiwan. The Taiwanese military has utilized joint intelligence surveillance means to closely monitor the situation and dispatched reconnaissance aircraft, ships, and missile systems to respond appropriately.

The Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of China (Taiwan) also revealed on the morning of the 27th the dynamics of the CCP’s military activities in the sea and airspace around the Taiwan Strait. From 6:00 am on the 26th to 6:00 am on the 27th, a total of 23 sorties of CCP aircraft (including 16 sorties crossing the median line into the northern and southwestern airspace) and 7 CCP ships and 1 government vessel were detected, totaling 31 CCP aircraft and ships continuing to operate around the Taiwan Strait.
