Crew Members Clash: Emergency Slide of Donghai Airlines Suddenly Released

Recently, a China Eastern Airlines plane at Shanghai Pudong Airport had its emergency slide deployed while parked on the tarmac. Reports indicated that this incident stemmed from a conflict among the crew members.

On April 29, netizens revealed that at Pudong Airport, a China Eastern Airlines plane on the tarmac deployed its emergency slide.

Following the attention drawn to this incident, on April 30, China Eastern Airlines issued a statement acknowledging that during the pre-departure phase of the Xi’an to Shanghai flight on the 29th, the slide was released. The company expressed deep regret for the incident.

The statement did not disclose the reason for the deployment of the slide.

According to a report by the Beijing News, a source familiar with the matter at the airport revealed that the plane involved was an Airbus A320 carrying passengers arriving at Pudong Airport. Preliminary understanding indicates that the conflict among the crew members led to the deployment of the emergency slide. This event caused the plane in question to temporarily exit operation.

Public opinion on this incident varied. “A conflict among crew members led to the release of the emergency slide? This is just absurd.” “No sense of responsibility? If conflicts cannot be resolved, then maybe they should go back to school and learn how to behave properly!” “Conflict among crew members? Isn’t the captain the one with the most authority on the airplane? If the captain doesn’t create conflicts, who would dare to create them?” “Why is it China Eastern Airlines again? Flight safety is as important as a mountain; it concerns the lives of all passengers and crew members, prevention is better than cure.”

“Internal investigations will lead to punishment for the flight attendants… and then things will go back to normal… This vicious cycle will sooner or later lead to a loss of control over the aircraft! Flight attendants work tirelessly day and night, supporting a group of vampires sitting in the office, who continue to exert pressure! It’s abnormal not to collapse!”

Previously, on March 21, 2022, a China Eastern Airlines plane with the flight number MU5735, carrying 132 people, disappeared and crashed over Wuzhou, Guangxi, with no survivors. There were reports at the time indicating that a conflict between the captain and the co-pilot led to the air disaster.
