Before the Chinese Communist Party leader’s visit to the United States, the Epoch Times website once again fell victim to a massive cyberattack, attracting attention from both domestic and international audiences. Many people expressed their support for the Epoch Times, admiring its long-standing commitment to reporting the truths censored by the Chinese Communist Party and awakening many Chinese individuals.
Legal experts in mainland China, like Gao Ming, praised the Epoch Times and New Tang Dynasty for their fearless reporting on the true situation in China despite CCP suppression. “Mainland media have lost credibility and are all lying. Many people no longer believe the false reports of the (CCP) official media.”
Former Chinese transportation industry worker, Gao Feng, emphasized the significant influence of the Epoch Times and New Tang Dynasty. By exposing the wrongdoings of the CCP and promoting the values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance, they have helped many people understand the reality of the CCP and awaken to it.
“The power of the Epoch Times media is truly great and wonderful. Perhaps saying a hundred things is ineffective, but one sentence from the Epoch Times reports could suddenly awaken someone.”
Anti-Communist activist Shi Song, who served a cumulative sentence of 15 years due to persecution by the CCP authorities, expressed his admiration for the Epoch Times. He stated that he had always stood firm in his resistance while incarcerated. The Epoch Times and New Tang Dynasty reporting, along with continued attention from human rights groups both domestically and overseas, have led to a decrease in the persecution he faced.
Another anti-Communist dissident, Qiao Qi, who was sentenced to a cumulative 9 and a half years in prison, also acknowledged the positive impact of Epoch Times coverage. Whenever he faced severe persecution in prison, after coverage by the Epoch Times, the environment he was in would improve for a period.
Chinese human rights activist Shen Qijia has personally experienced the significance of Epoch Times and New Tang Dynasty reporting. He once publicly criticized the CCP on TikTok and amassed tens of thousands of followers, leading to his account being permanently banned and facing threats and monitoring from the authorities.
Shen Qijia stated that the timely reporting by Epoch Times provided a certain level of protection for whistleblowers in China and prevented the CCP from committing further atrocities.
Following the CCP’s typical behavior, they would surely arrest him, but the reason they haven’t acted yet is that “Epoch Times and New Tang Dynasty have provided timely reports that have had a significant impact on society and also serve as a test of whether the CCP can tolerate critics.”
He emphasized that the CCP attacks the Epoch Times out of fear that its wrongdoings will be exposed to the world. “The Epoch Times speaks for the people who suffer from human rights abuses and judicial persecution. It is a media outlet we highly trust in the country, our only reliance.”
“If you (the CCP) continue to do evil and violence against me, I can expose you to the Epoch Times,” he said.
Shen Qijia also mentioned that the Epoch Times brings hope to the Chinese people. “The world is not completely dark under the tyranny of the CCP. We still have a place where a glimmer of light shines through, giving us hope and preventing us from despairing in the darkest moments.”
