This marks the largest lottery jackpot in the United States so far in 2026 and the 8th largest jackpot in Powerball history.
The numbers drawn on the evening of August 10 were 6, 37, 54, 55, 64, with the red Powerball number being 10 and a Power Play multiplier of 3. No ticket matched all six numbers, leading to the continuous accumulation of the jackpot.
However, several players still won significant prizes. A ticket each from California and Maryland matched all 5 white balls to win $1 million each. Additionally, a Tennessee ticket with the Power Play option also matched 5 white balls, increasing the prize to $2 million.
The last time the Powerball jackpot was won was on May 2, 2026, when tickets from Florida and Texas split a $20 million jackpot. Since then, the jackpot has been steadily growing to reach $1 billion.
The Powerball draw for Wednesday will take place at 10:59 PM Eastern Time. If there are no jackpot winners again, the prize money will continue to grow.
Each Powerball ticket costs $2. Players must choose 5 white ball numbers from 1 to 69 and 1 red Powerball number from 1 to 26. The odds of winning the jackpot are approximately 1 in 292.2 million, while the overall odds of winning any prize are about 1 in 24.9.
Winners can choose to receive their prize as a lump sum or opt for an annuity. The annuity amount equals the published jackpot amount and is paid out in 30 installments over 29 years, with a 5% increase in subsequent payments each year. Both amounts are pre-tax figures.
