Both of them co-starred in the mythological drama “Journey to the West” directed by Yang Jie. The audience referred to her as “Sister Lian Lian” (her role in the CCTV version of “Journey to the West”). She was the only actress to have performed in all the “Four Great Classical Novels,” achieving extraordinary success. We will always remember her. There is no pain in heaven. Rest in peace, classmate He Qing!”
He Qing had played opposite Ma Dehua, who portrayed Zhu Bajie, in “Journey to the West”.
