Video: Typhoon “Hagibis” makes landfall in Yangjiang, Guangdong

Typhoon “Huangjia Sha,” known as the “King of Wind,” made landfall this evening (24th) in the area of Hailing Island in Yangjiang, Guangdong. Netizens have uploaded numerous videos of the event.

According to the Beijing Central Meteorological Observatory, around 17:00 on September 24, the center of Typhoon “Huangjia Sha” landed along the coast of Hailing Island in Yangjiang, Guangdong at typhoon level. At the time of landing, the maximum wind force near the center reached 13 on the Beaufort scale (40 meters per second).

The powerful Typhoon Huangjia Sha landing on Hailing Island in Yangjiang has prompted netizens to upload videos expressing their awe, with some commenting, “It’s too terrifying.”

The meteorological observatory predicts that after the landing, the intensity of “Huangjia Sha” will gradually decrease. However, over the next two days, strong winds and rains are expected in more than ten provinces and cities including Guangdong, Hainan, and Guangxi.

From 14:00 on September 24 to 14:00 on September 25, there will be heavy to torrential rain in parts of Guangdong, southern central Guangxi, southeastern Fujian, northern central Hainan Island, southern central Jiangsu, central Anhui, eastern Hubei, northern and southwestern Jiangxi, southern Hunan, and southeastern Taiwan. In some areas, there will be heavy downpours, particularly in southern and central Guangdong, southwestern Guangxi, and central Jiangsu, with isolated areas along the coasts of Guangdong and the west experiencing even more severe heavy rainfalls.
