Hollywood Stars in New York Encounter “Random” Attack

Recently, Steve Buscemi, the male lead of “Boardwalk Empire,” and his co-star Michael Stuhlbarg encountered “random” attacks in New York. Buscemi was punched in the face while Stuhlbarg was hit with a stone.

According to People magazine, on the morning of May 8th, at 11 a.m., 66-year-old American actor and director Steve Buscemi was taking a walk on the streets near Kips Bay in New York when a stranger randomly punched him in the face, and the attacker quickly fled the scene.

In early April, at 7 p.m. on one evening, American actor Michael Stuhlbarg was attacked with a stone by a man near Central Park in New York. Stuhlbarg managed to catch the attacker who was later arrested by the police.

Buscemi’s public relations team stated that he appreciates the well wishes from everyone but is distressed by the fact that some people are facing attacks while walking on the streets of New York. After the attack, Buscemi’s swollen face and left eye were taken to Bellevue Hospital for medical treatment.

Michael, who sustained minor injuries to his neck, did not require medical treatment. The police arrested 27-year-old attacker Xavier Israel at 8 p.m. The authorities indicated that Israel, currently homeless, had recently been on parole for an attempted robbery before attacking Michael.

Steve Buscemi has appeared in films such as “Con Air,” “Armageddon,” “Monsters University,” “Hotel Transylvania 2,” “The Boss Baby,” “Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation,” and “Transformers: The Last Knight.”

Michael Stuhlbarg has acted in movies like “A Serious Man,” “Men in Black 3,” “Arrival,” “Doctor Strange,” “The Post,” “The Shape of Water,” and the upcoming “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”
