Energy Holds Autograph Session for the First Time in 22 Years, Teaches 5000 Fans Dance Moves

After 22 years, Taiwan’s “dance boy group” Energy made a comeback to the music scene, with members Milk, Ah-Di, Shu-Wei, Kun-Da, and Toro holding their only limited autograph session on Xinyi Road in Taipei on the 5th. The reunion of the five members brought back many memories for the fans, and the scene was so crowded that 5,000 fans filled Xinyi commercial area.

Energy held their exclusive autograph session at Xinyi Road in Taipei yesterday, with many fans travelling by tour bus to attend, some even bringing their families to support their idols. The entire Xinyi Square and the sky bridge connecting the shopping malls were packed with 5,000 people, with fans custom-ordering fondant cakes to wish Energy success in their concert. Finally seeing their idols reunite after many years up close, fans couldn’t help but shed tears, saying, “Thank you for growing up with me, this time I will accompany you until we are old together.”

Witnessing such a scene, the five members of the group emotionally expressed, “Whether it’s on stage or anywhere on Earth, there was a long time when you didn’t see us together, but we knew your support was always there.” They specially sang their signature sentimental hit song “On a Certain Day of a Certain Month of a Certain Year”, stating, “This song not only accompanies us but also accompanies you, it’s like a promise between us, we want to get closer to you, okay?”

In addition to their classic songs, Energy also performed their recent dance track “Friday Night” at the autograph session, teaching fans hand movement dance moves to join in the fun, creating a spectacular scene where everyone danced together.

The members walked from the main stage to the smaller stage to interact with fans, and then gave an energetic performance of “Separation and Reunion”, giving fans a taste of the close-up feeling at the Taipei Arena.

The five members put in a lot of effort for their comeback, during the intensive album preparation process, they once broke the record for shooting over ten hours a day for a week, with one music video even filming for 48 hours. They encountered colds and accidentally infected each other, but each of them still practiced dancing while sick, aiming to present the best side to the fans.

After the release of their first new album “Here I Am”, their return to the music scene quickly rose to the top of the bestselling charts on books.com.tw and the top of the Chinese Gold Chart for Five Major Records, and also topped the iTunes album chart, achieving 16 consecutive sales victories. Following the sell-out of the first concert of the “Ready to Explode” concert at Taipei Arena in July, news of an additional show also sold out on the next day, leaving the Energy members ecstatic.

Now that their hard work has paid off, Toro remarked, “We’ve never achieved so many first places when we were studying.” Ah-Di and Shu-Wei immediately teased and responded, “That’s you! Not us.” Joking aside, Toro thanked the fans, “We’ve achieved so many first places because of you all.”
