Recently, a homicide occurred in Shantou, Guangdong Province, where a 15-year-old teenager was strangled to death by two same-age friends, sparking renewed attention to youth crime on the internet.
On July 10th, the Chaonan Sub-Bureau of Shantou Public Security Bureau reported that on July 6th around 5 pm, a criminal case arising from a debt dispute took place near Xinxing Road South in Simapu Town, Chaonan District.
According to the report, during the debt dispute, Fang Jun and Fang Hui, along with Fang Ming who was owed money, went to Xinxing Road South in Simapu Town, where Fang Jun took the opportunity to strangle Fang Ming with his arm, causing him to suffocate to death. After the incident, Fang Jun voluntarily surrendered himself to the local police station in Simapu Town.
Currently, Fang Jun and Fang Hui have been criminally detained on suspicion of intentional homicide, and the case is under further investigation.
According to a report by The Paper, the father of the deceased, Mr. Fang from Shantou, stated that on the evening of July 6th, his 15-year-old son was lured to the school by two same-age boys and tragically strangled to death. Mr. Fang expressed disbelief at the sudden tragedy, saying, “Those two boys called my son to the school, and then they took his life by strangling him. It’s so tragic!”
