Chinese President Xi Jinping issued instructions at the “National Security China Construction Work Conference” held in Beijing, calling for the construction of a “safer” China. This is his first major domestic directive after returning from his visit to the United States, with Xi claiming that “China is the safest country.”
Analysts point out that what Xi is most concerned about is the security of the regime, especially his own personal security. In fact, China is the most unsafe country, and the security of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) ironically means the insecurity of the Chinese people.
According to information from the CCP’s Xinhua News Agency, the “National Security China Construction Work Conference” was held in Beijing on September 28. Xi Jinping’s directives were officially conveyed at the meeting. Xi called for the construction of a “safer” China and emphasized “steadfastly implementing the overall national security concept.”
“National Security China” is a campaign initiated by Xi Jinping in 2013 after he came to power, with the goal of mobilizing all national resources to reduce security risks. The official explanation of the “overall national security concept” emphasizes that safeguarding national political security should be the top priority, with the core of political security being the security of the regime and the system.
Legal scholar Yuan Hongbing in Australia told The Epoch Times that under Xi Jinping’s absolute dictatorship, the CCP’s so-called “political security” is essentially Xi’s personal absolute dictatorship security. He continuously emphasizes that the fundamental reason for security lies in his dictatorial position facing a significant crisis.
Yuan Hongbing pointed out that after the 20th National Congress of CCP, the Party, government, and military have all been completely infiltrated by Xi Jinping’s loyalists, yet widespread acts of rebellion have emerged. He highlighted cases such as Ma Xingrui, Li Shangfu, Miao Hua, He Weidong, the rocket forces, as well as the fall of Zhang Yuxia and Liu Zhenli, all revolving around the core issue of absolute disloyalty to Xi Jinping. Xi can only maintain his personal security through waves of purges.
Yuan Hongbing noted that through the espionage system, Xi has come to realize that thousands of officials are essentially two-faced, presenting one image in public and a different one privately; and almost all officials are starting to slack off and go easy.
“On one hand, due to Xi Jinping’s series of policies going awry and his arbitrary measures, the entire CCP officialdom is in a state of despair about the future. On the other hand, due to the extreme downturn in the economy, local finances are on the verge of bankruptcy. Many grassroots officials cannot receive their salaries on time.” Yuan said, in this situation, Xi Jinping is actually sitting on a volcano.
Lawyer Qin Ming (pseudonym) from mainland China told The Epoch Times that the CCP’s so-called national security has always been a concept that switches and confuses people’s perception.
